Cristina Garcia ChappellForeign Attorney
Cristina was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She graduated from the law school of the Instituto de Estudios Superiors de Tamaulipas in 2003. Subsequently, Cristina worked for the Consulate of Mexico in Austin from 2004 to 2007. At the end of 2007, she joined the Mexican Foreign Service and moved to Beijing, China, where she worked for the Mexican Embassy in China from 2007 to 2009.
Once back in Austin, Cristina joined the Pastrana Law Firm in 2010. She has been the Firm’s major paralegal and general office manager. She earned her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Austin in 2013. Thereafter, she earned her Master of Laws (LL.M) degree at the University of Texas in 2019. She is now a Partner at the Firm as a Foreign Attorney. She heads our office in Mexico City.
She is currently scheduled to take the Texas Bar Exam, which upon passing will grant her a Texas law license. This will permit her to represent clients throughout the state of Texas.
