Born and raised in Mexico, Mrs. Garcia‑Chappell obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Universidad Anahuac in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico in 2006. During that the same year, she was hired by the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs to work at the Mexican Consulate in Austin. Her duties included Powers of Attorney under Mexican Notary Law and issuing Visas to the non‑Mexican citizen.

In 2007, she was promoted to a Mexican Diplomat and assigned to the Mexican Embassy in Beijing, China. While in Beijing, she worked as Chief of Staff to the Ambassador and as Press Attache during the 2008 Olympic and Paralympics Games.

In November 2009, Cristina moved back to Austin and joined the Pastrana Law Firm. From signing clients up, to finalizing clients’ settlements and everything in between, Cristina is involved in every case. She provides a comprehensive analysis to help attorneys develop an ideal strategy for each of them. Using her background, Cristina provides clients with consistent communication, explaining the process to them every step of the way. She is also the office manager and handles the day-to-day operations at the law firm.

Cristina became a Certified Paralegal in 2013 from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, she is planning to attend the LLM program in 2018 in order to ultimately obtain her Texas Law license.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, who are the pillars of her life.
